reverse, but no forward gear????

I just replaced a broken weight in clutch..on my Yamaha G9, put it all back together and went to drive forward and i got nothing.. put it in reverse and it went fine..ran over all of my tools..LOL

didnt think it was going to move!!!!

When I went to fix clutch, I simply took belt off of secondary with my fingers..Is that normal??? could that be the problem?? if so how do you tighten belt..please help ...thanx

Check the movement of the f/r cables on the lever at the rear end. Could be out of adjustment or something broke in rear/trans.

It worked before I replaced weight in clutch. Do you think its something i did when I put back together..what about belt should it be that loose???

Dont know what it was, but it drove fine after work today.. I put lever in neutral started and warmed it up.. Then turned off put in forward and it worked.. it might have just been stuck or something..it was sitting for years..thanks

I'm always a broken record here, but if you read all Yamaha posts on this site (it will take days) you will learn all you need to know about your Yamaha.
Do all the maintanance and tuning that people talk about on here and you will have a good running car,and pretty much know how to fix it if it breaks.
Posts will give you ideas about what these cars are capable of and which direction you may want to build yours.
But watch-out, cause you will probably contract the deadly disease; Golf Cart Fever, commonly known as;" Buggies Gone Wild" that most of us suffer from here!

ya the shifter cable was broke or not engaging fully.
