Default G2 Drive clutch question

On my G2 the drive clutch can be moved in and out by hand easily. Is this supposed to be this way? The clutch is silver and has a grease fitting which is I guess a comet clutch? Will try to get pics after the rain.

yes the floating flange of the clutch (the part with the grease fitting) should mov in and out easily, because there is no stall spring like on a snowmoble clutch.
