Yamaha G9 Primary Sheave Stuck
Hi All ~
This is my first post so please let me know if I screw something up. My G9 needs new rings. I've read many articles here and am confident I can do everything myself. Right now I have the engine on the bench and am working on removing the primary clutch. I got the cover off and the bolt out without issue. I can't seem to get the moving sheave to come off the shaft. Is there a trick to this or is it simply stuck from years of oxidation? BTW ~ I do have the "special" fixed sheave removal tool. I will tackle that bear once I get the moving side to break loose. Thanks in advance!!! |

Re: Yamaha G9 Primary Sheave Stuck
AH HA!!!
Turns out all I needed to do was use the removale tool with the impact gun and the whole thing popped right off. Thanks anyway and sorry for the thread. |
