Default g2a running really rough

I have loved this site as just reading it has allowed me to fix a lot of little issue on my 1987 G2. I have a new problem now though so I thought I would just go ahead and ask for help.

My G2 was running great for a while. I had adjusted the governor and it was as quick as I wanted it to be. Then about a week ago it started really running rough. When I first push the gas pedal the whole thing shakes terribly, even the front cowl. Then it smooths out some as I get up to speed but by the time I hit the top end it starts acting up again.

At top speed it will run for a second and then miss for a second, then run, then miss out, and on and on until I stop. If I back off the gas it will run more smoothly again, but it is too slow.

I have really appreciated all the info on here. You have made my golf cart a fun new toy for my family and I. Now please, please, please help it to run great again.

My first thought would be, take your primary clutch cap off and check for a damaged weight. It is amazing how a loose or broken weight can effect the rpm and sensation of spark cut out.

Do you still have the brackets that are attached to the back of the seat back bar? If so i will buy them from u. They are basket supports. 812-374-4266. Thanks in advance.
