What is your intended use? What kind of terrain do you plan on running on?

I believe Cart Fixer has one on his, and he is getting over 30 mph with it! Mine will do about 28 (stock clutches). He has 11hp mine has 9hp,you decide.

I think I worded this poorly, I would wait for other opinions. I only know what my car is capable of. And I have no experence with other cars or parts. A G16 is gonna be faster because it has more HP. and is lighter than my g8. If this is Chompy from the other sight, he is very knowledgeable and knows what he's talking about!
There will be others to comment shortly, that have more experence. So just sit tight.
Plowmans- anything aint no junk! They do very good work, just expensive!!

Don't think you can count the speed. Governor and rpm is going to coming into to play on speed. Which got there faster, which has more power? I have put a couple on had have been very satisfied with them and think they are worth it. The mufflers are a little pingey.
I have drove one thru 18" of water for several 100 feet with minimum slippage.

Come to think of it, I have the throttle on mine set to only open about 80% ( a built in rev. limiter) because the gov. is bypassed, and because the footfeet is to straight up and not at a comfortable position. So mine may be faster than I think!
From 12 to 25+ is good enough right now!!

If you want the stock motor there are few options, you hack it yourself or buy a kit of parts that fit and have been figured out. Otherwise you pull the motor and get a larger one. I'm working on a 16hp clone now will post when I get it running.
