Default coil wire???

I had been getting intermittent fire out of this cart I bought, looked at the plug first and found mice had chewed the plug wire. I got it to unscrew out of the boot and cut it clean but now its pretty short and tight. I tried to unscrew it from the coil itself but it wouldn't budge. Do they even unscrew from the coil. Sure would be nice if it did and just replace the wire. Coil it fine and really don't want to buy another one. I could use the money for a lot of other things.

Just for giggles I had a coil left over from some moped rebuilds with a two wire hook up. I wired it up and it worked. Not sure about the length of the plug wire but it does come free of the boot and coil so I can shorten it.
