G2 Gas Hesitant and Backfiring!
I recently purchased a G2 that runs decent. Starts instantly. I do find myself having to feather the gas to get the motor to go faster. Its almost like its getting too much fuel when I stomp on it. Also, when coming back down to idle or coasting, the unit will backfire. I was hoping someone could tell me where to start.

Re: G2 Gas Hesitant and Backfiring!
Start with general maintanance. Remove air filter box, clean and check for air leaks where it is not assembled correctly. That is usually the cause. Or dirty carb. Take it apart and clean it out. Also look for cracked plastic spacer where the carb. mounts to the motor.
Then read all Yamaha threads on this sight, you will learn alot about your car, and how to mantain it! Good luck Mike |
