Double A Arm or Jakes Spindle Lift??
Got a 1997 G16. Thinking about a lift. I thought Jakes was the best. Not looling to spend $700 for Jakes long travel, but probally a spindle lift. I see where All Sports has a 7" Double A Arm kit for $300. Cheaper than the Jakes spindle lift. Which one would you get?

For a G16, I would get a Jakes single A arm lift kit. Every body on this sight that has one swears by them.

For 300 bucks I'd go with the all sports kit. If you think it needs some beefing up you can always weld in extra supports. Looks very easy to modify with the square tubing.

Re: Double A Arm or Jakes Spindle Lift??
Personally I can't comment on the Allsport kit, but the ability to have adjustable camber might be a selling point for me. A double A-arm suspension "should" also have better camber during the suspension cycle than a single A-arm setup.
I have never seen Allsports in person so I cannot say anything about the build quality or durability. Jake's Kit is top notch in those regards. They fit well and are made well. With that being said, I own a Jake's A-arm lift. The same one, Mike Mac is referring to and it works great. I would have no qualms about buying another just like it. SHMO Ps: correct me if I am wrong, but I do not think Jake's even builds a spindle lift for the G-16 |

Re: Double A Arm or Jakes Spindle Lift??
No spindle kit for a G16, just went through this myself. I went with the Allsports over the Jakes after talking with several people. One told me that due to the suspension nature of the G16 regarding camber issues, the Allsports is the better lift to keep the tires neutral during the suspension cycle. My kit should be here this week, I will post pics after the install on my G16.
