Default smoking yamaha

Got an 1980-something 2stroke yamaha cart , sokes some and fouls plug. Can I disconnect oil pump and run premixed gas?

Yes, most people do this. I'm not sure what the ratio/mixture should be but some of the 2 stroke guys here can post it.
