OK, I got a 1990 G8, and it sure seems like not alot of people have the G8. I really like the way the front end looks, and so far I love the cart. I put a 6" Jakes A-arm lift with 22" tires on 10" wheels. I am going to do the heavy duty rear springs, and have made a bumper and roof rack for it. Anyone else running a G8 or that knows anything about them post up... we can share what we learn.... here is a few pic's of mine taken in the daylight..so you can see the bumper and rack better....

I like the way the front end looks too. I have always liked the looks of the older carts. You have done a nice job on the fab work and I think your cart looks GREAT!!!!

I love my G8. It has the G16 body and I just bought a brand new G16 body for it to custom paint. Boylan Sales had the front cowl new for $80 and the rear clip for $175!! Long live the G8!!!

I was told by the yamaha dealer that I would have to make some modifications to use a G16 front cowl on my G8. They said I would have to change the front bumper and cut the yamaha emblem off and re-weld it in a different spot. Does anyone know if this is true. The G16 cowl is a $100 cheaper than the G8.

you would have to change the front bumper. the rest will bolt right up. you do not have to change emblem or weld any thing to Mount it.

Do you know if the color of the ivory G16 is the same as the G8. Someone told me the g16 was a lot whiter than the G8. I am wondering if I will have to change the front and rear cowl to match or repaint. Is there a good place you like to buy yamaha parts from. I will need the cowl and bumper. Thanks!
