Default G8 Gas Problem Help!

Trying to get a G8 I purchased running?I have it running,but there's gas coming out of a rubber hose that is clamped on to the valve cover.Does anyone know what would cause that,any help would be apprciated,Thanks.

Check the carb. bowl for trash causing too much fuel to enter the carb. If this is not the case, then pull the fuel pump and take it apart and clean it out (more than likely it will be full of crit and grim).

Sprddle.....My feeling too! And after the carberator is cleaned...Change the oil (one qt only). Sounds like dirt "stuck" the Needle float assy and gas "washed" past the rings into the case and now the oil level is to high. Good Luck Dave

Thanks for mentioning that smallblock. Yes, DEFINITELY CHANGE THE OIL!! There will be gas in it more than likely.

Might have the fuel line hooked up backward at the pump filling the engine with gas

Also could have a broken diaphragm inside the fuel pump
