Default Backfire Help????

I have a G8,I finally have it running, but it backfires a little and only runs with the choke half way out, soon as I push the choke in it stalls.I cleaned the carb out and put new gas in it. Any help on this would be appreciated. Thanks!!!!!!!

make sure the air filter is clean and the filter box has a really good seal. if the box is seal slightly open this will cause the backfire problem. it might need new straps to hold it shut...

hope this helps..... chris

that might be the problem why you are having to choke it to run..

Also make sure your throttle on the carb. is completely closing when you let off the gas pedal and opening far enough when you hit the gas pedal. You also definitely need to fix the gas leak.

Undefeated!! 9-0!!
