'82 G1 won't run
Cut me some slack here. I fix animals not golf carts. My '82 G1 quit running. The starter generator runs fine. Plenty of gas to the carb, good spark. Carb issues or am I missing something simple?Thanks in advance.

One of the experts here will reply I'm sure, but my experience thus far, which isn't very much, is the spark plug is very fussy. A new plug is cheap, might be worth a try.

need more to go on. does it bog down, smoke, only turn over, run better with choke on, etc.?

Only the starter-generator runs but the engine won't turn over, nada. Plenty of fuel going to the carbeurator but nothing from the engine.

if you say it is getting spark and plenty of gas then its air thats the problem, maybe your muffler is clogged, try a bbq

Most of the G1's with this problem end up being a clogged muffler. There is also an exhaust valve that hooks into the carb. linkage. Make sure it hasn't gotten stuck closed.

I'm not much of a mechanic but a good detective would want to know when did this start, suddenly? Was it running good before?
