Default Don't know about my JAKES lift

I just put a Jakes 6" on my G-16. It has 4 options/locations for the front shocks for lift and I chose the 2nd from the highest as a starting location. well it was rear end high which isn't too much of a problem for me esthetically, but it tilts the seat forward a bit and it is awkward. So I put it up on the highest setting and it sits level and the seat is level, this gives the wheels a very high positive camber where the the inside of the tread doesn't even have dirt on it. I'm a little bummed out about it. Any ideas?

Is the high camber loaded with a driver?
Stock Yamahas have a high camber.

Weak or worn out front shocks could cause that.

This is unloaded with me looking at it. the shocks could be a little worn, but, if they were the camber would be a little better. I'm looking at the dirt on the tires and the wear on the new nubbies on the tires. the outside is seeing far more pressure than the inside. Stiffer new shocks would make the situation worse. It is almost if the angle is off on the new A arms

Guys, I think what he is experiencing is the rear end is to high. The front shocks should be in the second hole (from the outside), to correct the camber. But then the rear is to high putting to much rake to the car, and he is sliding out. He needs rear shock length measurements for stock G16

I just put a Jakes 6" on my G16 two weeks ago and everything is fine. I suspect your shocks are toast. Go to Plowman's web site and see the shims he uses and how it changes the alignment.

Any chance you have to much toe in and the wheels are driving toward the center causing the issue?
Do they flatten out if you back up?
Could you post some pics of it?

I will try to post some pics tonight. I have not tried to back it up and look at it to see if there is a difference. Mike Mac is correct with his description. I am using stock g16 shocks all the way arround. I can't lower the rear as the tires would rub. I need to be able to use the top (most inner hole) on the front to level out, but it runs on the outside of the tires. It would be nice if the A-arm had a screw ajustment on it to lengthen it a bit. I also have an email in to Jakes to see what they recommend.

It is hard to see it is out of level with the cover but the seat is pitched forward. In the pics I'm on the second hole from the top. It is even worse with it in the top hole where I need it to be. Tires look like this \ /
