oil level sensor? Maybe?
My G9 has a wire on the bottom end of the engine next to the oil plug, it looks like some sort of oil sensor and it has one wire coming from it. I just rebuilt this engine and my old one did not have this wire or someone had cut it off. My question is first what is it? and second where is it supposed to be connected? Thanks.

Re: oil level sensor? Maybe?
It's the oil sensor wire. I just leave mine disconnected. Heck its gets knocked off all the time anyway. It should run up to a little light near the gas pedal if I remember correctly on mine. Won't hurt a thing to leave it disconnected.

Re: oil level sensor? Maybe?
G2's had the oil sensor, G9's didn't. Did you get a G2 engine and repuild it? if so, you could just use the "plug" out of the old G9 block or cut the wire off.
