Default need help

hi
came across a g1 1979 golf cart have rebuild most of it. runs great ...But the joint carburtor boot is all crack. Its the boot between the carb and engine (part number j17-26339-09-00) found one part list said it was discontined. Call yamaha , not a dealer so they were no help. i see the one for a 85 yamaha was wondering if it is the same size and i could plug the air tube? or does anyone know if there a replacement or orginal one around.

"Ride it"...If your car is a 1979, the part # should read J10-13586-00-00 for the carb joint (I call it a manifold that the carb slips into and bolts to the cylinder/reed assy). I your car is a 1982, you will need a j17-13586-00-00 (that is a low compression engine "one year only") and if its a 1983 and up it would take a J24-13586-00-00 manifold (with the air tube opening). The part # j17-26339-09-00 is really just a rubber boot for the choke cable. Hope this helps. If you have any further questions, please post or PM me. Why no pix's ? Good luck Dave

You can use a J24 manifold...You just have to "plug" the hole. A bolt would work. Did they tell you they couldn't order the J10 Manifold ? Later Dave
