G1 Flooding

I want to apologize to all about the prior post of is this part really needed.
Today I took a ride on the G1 and for 20 minutes it ran great then all a sudden no power it was flooding out. So after taking the carb back off I tapped on the engine where the carb came off and I did find the reed valve.
Anyway I have adjusted the carb float several times and it still floods. Any ideas why its flooding?

I'm too familiar with the 2 strokes. Usually when this occurs on a 4 stroke, it is either trash in the bowl or fuel pump. Maybe some of the 2 strokes will help out here.

Hi there I apologize I should of put why its better now. i had to purchase a new carb kit for it and would you believe they sold me a kit that the only part I needed was a used part. I called them and they called me some names so I deleted them from my computer and told them they would never get another penny out of me. The only part I needed in the kit was the jet that controls the fuel flow and the kit they sent me had a used and worn out one in it. The company wasn't any of the ones on here or other forums it was some crappy outfit from ebay.
I solved the problem by buying another carb and it runs better now than it ever did.
Thanks fellows for bringing the subject back up and I saw it.

Well I certainly do appreciate the kindness of everyone on here and politeness. I used to be on a welding board and once I forgot to add something and do you know they banned me from their board. This board reminds me of a Farmall Cub Tractor forum I also belong too everyone always has something to say but what they say is always polite and very helpful. If it weren't for that tractor forum I would of never got my old 1948 Farmal Cub running or anything else. Same as this one, I read a lot and every now and then I'll post and have always found great help from everyone on here. I want to also thank the sponcers who own and take care of this forum, great people.
From now on I am going to remember to always put an answer that I have found to my questions so that maybe someone else it may help, and also pics I know everyone loves pics.

PS- Speaking of pics here is a before pic of a 1981 G1 that I just got recently and threw on a quick paint job and windshield and built a cheap bed for it so that I can haul some junk around my place. And a after pic of it. Hope no one gets upset but I am also adding a pic of the old 1948 Farmal Cub that I rebuilt from the ground up including the paint job. And this tractor was a complete mess, almost solid rust, never ran for over 15 years, and what a beauty it turned out thanks to these type forums.

I really enjoy seeing old tractors restored. I used to go to a show in Bowling Green KY that nothing but old JD's, Massey's, etc... It's amazing how far we have come with something to 'plow the fields' so to speak. I have an antique hay rake in my upper field that has steel wheels. My grandfather used to have an old tractor he actually used in the fields that had solid steel wheels and seat. Man, I can only imagine the ride. Wonder what some of these guys would do without air conditioning now a days.

I have nothing but respect for old farmers: they really knew the meaning of a days work.
