Default ? about a g1 muffler BBQ

Hi all. I would like to cook my g1 muffler and want to know if it is ok to leave the jet sensor in it while I cook it? I don't want to damage it as I believe my oil injection system is working fine. Thanks

I would remove it. There is a restrictor in there that might get damaged if it gets too hot. If is rusted into the muffler, the heat of the BBQ should loosen it up so you can get it out. Just heat that area first, pull the muffler off the BBQ, remove the jet and toss the muffler back in to finish the process.

Thanks bud. Just cooked it. Everything went well. Sensor came out without heat. I was concerned because it had some rust on it and I've fought with my fair share of rusted bolts.
