Quick question for sound system in Yamaha G3
Does anyone have any suggestions or pics on mounting a speaker system...or where I can find an overhead stereo housing that will work for a 86 G3 and not cost a fortune? I was thinking about putting the speakers and stereo below the seat by my legs...all thats there now is an ashtray anyways...just curious. Need help! Thanks!

Re: Quick question for sound system in Yamaha G3
ok I'll just add a follow up question...am I able to put the speakers down by my legs (by the forward/reverse)? Will I still be able to hear it? And will the motor and other things that get warm effect the speakers on the back side?

Re: Quick question for sound system in Yamaha G3
Your dash is large enough to install the stereo (just like in a car). The real problem is the speaker location. I installed them in the mid body (by your legs), but not the best sound and they are close to the muffler. Thought about some small "boxed speakers", like home theater style and mount them up behind your head on the roof pilars? Just a thought.

I think your best bet is to put them up high. You will not be able to hear them down low.
