Without spending another $100 is there a way to stiffen the rear springs??
Does someone make those rubber spring helpers you wedge between the coils? I just need some help when carrying kids or wood.

We used to just find a second set and cut the loops off of the ends and double the springs up .... here is a CC rear doubled up

If you have a way to compress the springs and take them off you can make a shim out of a piece of metal tube ive done that before and works great

Beachrights and Chuddly,
The length of the 400EX front shocks are 16 1/4 inch center eye to eye, The rear shock center eye to eye is 15 5/8 inch. What cart do you have? I was looking at these as replacement for mine too, but my G8 would definitly take modification to make these work. If you put the front ex shocks on the rear, you'd automatically have a 6 inch lift. I believe the stock shock is 12 inches. |

Chuddly, are the 400ex shocks stiff? Could they handle a heavy rear seat and people on it?

Re: Without spending another $100 is there a way to stiffen the rear springs??
I just got a pair of shocks that are 15", but they are pretty soft. Looking for a spanner wrench so we can crank them up harder. They were 25 for a pair this in on a G9.
When I made my lift I put more holes for shock at top, back more. This stands the shocks up more and makes them stiffer. I can haul a load of sand in my dump box now, but ride is not as good. |

You have to move your shock mounts if you are still running stock length shocks BUT it also makes for about triple the wheel travel distance so its great! |
