Default Governor mod / Throttle response

First of all I just purchased my first cart last Thurs 4/1/10.(Total stock '04 G22) and of course the first thing I wanted to do was make it faster. Found this forum and on Fri did the modification suggested by Cart de golf....What a difference and very simple..Ok so after riding the cart some I have noticed your ether wide open or no throttle at all.. No just cursing around mid throttle. If I try mid throttle it gets real jerky.
Have done the full tune up as well- Air filter, spark plug, New gas, Etc.
Any ideas??

sounds like you have the butterfly adjusted wrong. If you get it adjusted right then you will probly loose JUST A LITTLE top end but you gain the ability to cruise at any speed.

I did the same thing as you. Brought the throttle cable directly to the carb. Got the same response from the motor - All or nothing! You need to back the cable end (attached to the carb) back - or towards the rear of the cart. Its exactly opposite of what you'd think it needs. Just loosen the two 10mm nuts which hold the cable in place and move those nuts back towards the back of the cart. This gives the butterfly more play.
