1994 G9AK-Oil Level in gear box
Does the gear box only hold a couple of inches of gear oil? The instructions tell you to remove the drain bolt and fill until oil comes out the opening. That would only allow a couple of inches of oil in that large gear box. Is that correct?
Also when I tried to remove the fill plug it seperated and doesn't seem to want to go back together. There are four little breath holes where the hose pulled out. |

Re: 1994 G9AK-Oil Level in gear box
You broke the breather hose. You need to pry the plug gently out of the case with a screw driver. On a g9 case, there is a bolt in the side of the case that you remove. You fill it with 75/90 wt. till it comes out of that bolt hole.
Go find the "sticky" up top, on "owners manuals", and look up your year car, and read the manual. It will help you alot! |
