Default Blaster Carb on G1

I will keep the post short here, I have a G1 I am working on and the carb has had the same gas sitting in it for 10 years, so it needs a huge cleaning and a miracle.... Anyone know if a Yamaha Blaster carb would work on the G1?

isn't a yamaha blaster a 2 stroke, and your g1 a 4 stroke motor. guessing that you could make it work, but it seems like there would be a better match than the blaster carb for what you are doing.

I would think it can work since the G1 IS a 2-stroke. If the carb boot matches up then that is one less thing you will have to worry about. I would consider modifying the air filter to flow better since I would think that the blaster carb will supply more fuel/air to the motor. I mean people put different size carbs on everything, so it shouldn't be too far off to say that a 195cc Blaster motor 2-stroke carb, which I think is 26mm in size, would work on a 215cc yamaha G1 2-stroke motor. You will most likely have to change the main jet size or the pilot jet, or the needle jet height to get the carb tuned for your cart motor. It will most likely run alot better in the end!
