Default Unkown 2 stroke oil in G1... help?

So I was looking at topping off the oil in my tank today in my Yamaha G1 because its at about half tank. I bought the cart with that oil in it and I have some Yamahalube 2-W 2 stroke injector oil from when I owned an old Yami jet ski, and the color of the oil is purple. I didn't know what was in the G1 tank so I stuck my finger in there and the Yamalube bottle and compared colors. The type in my tank is green and the Yamalube is purple. Does anyone know if Yamalube was ever greenish? I want to know if its safe to add the purple Yamalube 2-W to whatever is in the tank right now. Thanks!

I used Yamalube in the 80's in a Yamaha outboard, and I believe that it was greenish.

I think you need to use 2 stroke oil for an air-cooled engine, not for an outboard motor or PWC.

The Yamalube I have is 2 stroke oil, but its purple. the 2 stroke oil in the cart now is a greenish color.

I wouldn't use the 2-W PWC oil in an air cooled engine. Not sure what the proper oil is, and if you don't know exactly what's in the tank now, I'd dump the tank and get the correct oil. Then you know for sure.

mine also has the green stuff in it....been driving it for like 7 years almost every weekend minus winter and only added some oil once and the tank wasnt even empty then! The stuff for jet ski's is not as healthy as the standard 2 stroke stuff is for the engine. They are restricted by what can be exhausted into the water (emissions regulations) when engineering the stuff for watercraft...
