Engine help (seized) G9
So my question is would it be cheaper to have the motor rebuilt, or to put a new one in, i have checked out prices so far, to have it rebuilt, and it will cost a pretty penny, i have seen motors from China(harbor)Frieght, but thats fabricating stuff and dont have the tools or no how to do that, Also how hard is it to take out the engine block?? This is for my Yami g9 1994.
Thanks Crispy480 |

Re: Engine help (seized) G9
I've got a simular problem with my John deere 318 lawn tractor. the Onan engine is redically expensive to rebuild. I've been looking on Craigs list and ebay for another motor or even the whole tractor if its cheap enough. The guy I bought my cart from buy's, rebuilds, and sells alot of his carts. He said he had about $500 into the motor of the one he sold me. Maybe there's someone like that, that lives around you.

Re: Engine help (seized) G9
What caused it to seize? Did it blow up or no oil?
Call Desert golf cars, monday (623 977 7131), talk to jason, and see what he has to say about prices. There are a couple control cables some hoses and 4 nuts to remove, and thats about it, to take out the motor. Then take it to desert golf car, about 111th ave and michigan (about peoria ave. I think). PS. And Jason likes Stella! |
