Shure would be nice to know what model Yamaha you have. I myself like the stock clutchs. Fix whats needed to be fixed, grease according to specs and you'll get long service out of them. I agree, Tom "CPP" can help you with what ever you decide and is pleasure to deal with. And WELCOME

I just ordered the rollers to rebuild my two clutches off of e-bay tonight. When you find out how they come apart and work they are not bad at all.

Re: which clutch should I pick up comet/yamaha??
To me the big difference is a stock primary clutch lasts and works very smooth. Aftermarket you can put spring in and can take off harder and/or at higher rpm. If you trail ride that can be really nice. You can do things to help the stock clutch such as a cut secondary sheave. I like how the stock secondary shifts myself, it lowers the rpm at part throttle, but some like the springs for those to help torque. Can also get a yamaha secondary spring for the utility carts than is more HD. I rebuilt a G9 primary and secondary a while back it was less than replacements. Its not that hard to do IMO if you have some mechanical experience. It is all stock except a cut secondary it worked pretty well, then last summer I put a clone 16hp in it and now it really woke up. The clutch still engages smoothly, but if you floor it on a steep hill from a dead stop it will spin up the hill its impressive. On flat ground its difficult to take off hard the clutch is smooth it will not ramp up until there is a load on it, just like stock. An aftermarket it would be abrupt, but you can loft the front wheels if you put a large enough spring in the primary (that stock does not have).
