help with yamaha G1

Im working on a G1 cart for someone I never worked on carts before i work mostly on small engines but it doesnt run at all the starter doesnt turn over or the solenoid doesnt click. Its just blowing my mind as to whats wrong. I tried this took a wire from the pos (+) side on the battery and ran it to the blue small wire on one of the solenoid and the starter/gen turned over as well as the motor but no spark at the plug. it will also do the same thing with the small yellow wire on the other solenoid.

never mind all i know what it is its the stop switch on the gas pedel
