Question Wheels, tires and rims for a G16, basic questions

I am looking into the Jake's 6" A-arm lift
http://www.jakesliftkits.com/liftkit/6inch-jake's-yamaha-a-arm-lift-kit-fits-g16--19--20/LKT%20YA3B%200025

There are so many stinkin' wheel options I am overwhelmed!!

Questions
  1. Do I go with a 10" rim or a 12"? Why?
  2. I think I want 22" tires? Should I be looking at something else?
  3. What are the rim offsets required to run on my G16?
  4. In looking at the sponsors and such, where is normally the best deal?
  5. Should I get a package deal or try to buy separate?
  6. What is this talk about Polaris rims?
I want it to look good and ride good. I spend a lot of time out in the pasture but it is grass. I spent an equal amount of town running into town and back (1 mile or so each way). I don't want street tread but I don't want super aggressive.

HELP!!!!!

Thumbs up Re: Wheels, tires and rims for a G16, basic questions

I have a 96 g-16 with an All Sports 7" lift, 23" all trail tires on 12" rims. In my opinion the 7" lift might be a little to much, if I had to do it over I'd probably go with the Jakes 6" lift. 22" tires should be good for you with the 6" lift, and as far as rim size goes the 10" rim will give you a softer ride but if your gonna be riding on fairly smooth surfaces the 12s will be fine, I drive alot off road and my 12's are fine. As far as a package goes, if you can find everything your looking for in one for a good price, get it, if not buy seperatly. Check out 3r, their a site sponsor and offer 10% off if you mention BGW. Lastly most offset rims are 3-4 and will work with the lift your thinking of getting, there are also some 2-5 offset rims which should also work, they'll just stick out a little more and offer a little more stability.
