Lubricating Clutches
Just read that the clutches should be lubricated on my G8 so I looked in the manual and it says the dealer should do this. Yea right!
So how do you do this. Are there zerk fittings on the clutches? Thanks Fred |

Re: Lubricating Clutches
Yes, should be one on the edge of the drive clutch. Just turn it by hand and you should see it on the rim. I suggest pulling the cover and cleaning really well and then lightly greasing every moving part on it. The rear clutch should have one also on the inside part of the inner sheave around the triangle area. Only one or two pumps. It greases a bushing on the inside of the sheave that rides on the shaft. If you over grease it, it can sep onto the shaft and onto the belt and cause one heck of a mess.
