1982 G1 will not turn over

I have a good batery and a new starter. The solenoid makes a single banging noise and that is it?

Check all the connections....sounds like you may not be making a good connection

I cleaned the conections and still the same thing. If I short the solenoid it will start once or twice then just make the noise again.

Sounds like you need a new(used) or rebuilt seliniod. What yr is your cart....I may have a set laying around that I could sell ya!!

I will have to check, I thought it was an 82 but looking at parts catalogs no of the soleniods look like mine. I have the serial number charts and will check and let you know. What is a set worth?

I can not find the serial number on my chart. The number is J10-080128.

Sorry, did not clean it off good enough. The number is J10-030128 and on the chart that says its an 1981.
