Re: installing a tachometer
As long as you have one that you can select a single cylinder, you should be good. How do you intend to connect it?

Since this is a golf cart forum, I'm guessing these would be considered "regular"? http://www.cartpartsplus.com/advance...=tach&x=11&y=6 |

Re: installing a tachometer
Here's one on E-Bay:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Tacho...motiveQ5fTools I bought one of these (not from this seller but it looks the same). It's similar to a "Tiny-Tach" but less expensive. Really easy to install and set-up, (only two wires). One wire wraps around spark plug wire and the other wire connects to ground. No connection to battery required !! It works fine for me. Response to rpm change is a little slow, but it settles down once you're at speed. Good luck and let us know what you settled on. RAY |

Re: installing a tachometer
One (1) spark per revolution is the correct setting. I got 3300 RPM on my G-16 cart before screwing down the governor. Depending on where your governor screw is adjusted, I suppose 4000 RPM is possible. Others may be able to comment on this also. - RAY
