Can I use a automotive silenoid on my gas yamaha g8?

No you can't. Sorry, but a golf cart needs a "continuous duty" solenoid. The solenoid on a golf car is engaged any time the throttle is pushed. A car solenoid is energized for just a few seconds at a time when the starter is triggered. It will burn up quickly.
