g9 gas filler neck relocate
I want to put a roll bar of sorts on my g9. It seems it would fit but the gas lid is in the way. Has anyone relocated the filler neck to the side so the back could be flat where something could be placed over it, also relocating the seat latch.
If I cut the neck off and cut a path for another longer neck to lay in on top of the tank, fiberglass around it then fab a door on the side along with the seat latch it would fix the problem. I'm not sure how the fiberglass will work on the tank as fiberglass is something I'm just learning after starting on this buggy. If anyone has any info on this it will sure be better than just taking a stab at it. |

Re: g9 gas filler neck relocate
One other thing I forgot to ask was I want to put wheel spacers on the cart, but the cart is mostly used for hauling feed and working around the farm. I don't want to break the studs or wear out the bearings. I was thinking about 1" on the back and 2" on the front. Just put a Jake' A-arm 5 or 6 inch lift on the cart (one or the other according to which ad you read, same part #). Going to put 22x11x10 6ply on the back with 3 by 5 offset rims and 22x8x10 6ply with 3 by 3 no offset on the front. Already have got them in. All are Dirt Devils. it might be a little rough. Appreciate your help.

Re: g9 gas filler neck relocate
Might be easier to bend the roll bar inboard kinda like you see on step side trucks. Sure would save on a lot of rework. Just food for thought.

Re: g9 gas filler neck relocate
That may be the way I have to go. Anyway around it I've go to find someone with a tube bender first. Everything here takes a while. Its been sitting on the jack for months. Sooner or later I'll get something finished so it can get back to work (and some play).
