Default yamaha golf cart

does any one know what would make a golf cart stall out after you run across a mud puddle or even spray it off

You may need a new spark plug wire and a new boot on each end.

Remove the wire you have on there and take it to an auto parts store. They should be able to match something up. Keep in mind this my not be the problem, but it is a inexpensive thing to try.

Im not totally sure on what you mean by stalling out. Back when my G2 had the stock engine I had trouble with the 2 wires down at the gas pedal getting wet and not working causing the enging to not fire.

You may want to take a peek at those...

Ahh, ok then drop that thought. If its still trying to go when its wet its not that because that means your starter is still working.

Back to the drawing board!

When it stalls, what part of the engine compartment seems to get soaked with water? Almost every stall I've ever seen with a cart in water is due to the plug getting hit with water. If your hitting the water hard and in and out of it, you might try making some sort of cover/shield for under the cart: anything to keep water from splashing up onto the engine.
