Bowtie, try Jake's lift kits. They have a spring kit for a little over $100. But don't know if it fits a G1.

Some use ATV shocks off ebay but you will have to search up threads to get specifics. There is also a spring at McMasters that fits some shocks but I don't know what ones, you change the spring is all.
Otherwise sure a lot of cart places have HD shocks for various carts, some don't list them all you might have to call them. |

Re: looking for an uplifting experience
just to give you another option, I've got a G2 body, and I used air shocks on the back to give a variable ride height depending on the load.
Monroe - Air Shock Absorber Part # MA803 They come up in O'reilly's computer as fitting a 1977 volkswagon beetle. |

Re: looking for an uplifting experience
I used Suzuki LTZ400 front shocks for the rear of my G1, that gives about 6" of lift and better than stock ride. On the front I used Jakes 6" A arms with 250EX front shocks, also a better ride. I bought the shocks used at a salvage yard for less than $150 for all 4. Way better than the stockers, they was stiff! You'll have to either fab drop brackets for the stock a arms or get the Jakes kit for like $300. Otherwise your camber will be out of whack. I skipped using the Jakes rear kit and just used the longer atv shocks.
