arced the battery
smoke came from g8 cart. found 1 wire burnt, one fuse burnt. now cart won't stop running without unhooking batt. any ideas. thinks

Do you know which wire burnt. Pedal switch may be burnt and active.

Have seen examples where voltage regulator goes bad, cooking the brown wire and feeding the solenoid r/w wire causing continuous "starting".

Bigstik had a great post. You need to start testing things leading up to the switch until you find what arched or grounded out. Is there anything else that looks burnt?
