Default Electric fuel pump for a Yamaha Golf cart

Hello, I have an older Yamaha gas golf cart. It sits idle from Apr 1st to Nov 1st in South Tx. It gets pretty hot here. When I get to Tx in Nov the golf cart is very hard to start. Apperently the fuel in the carb bowl dries out. I have to prime it through the spark plug hole quite a few times until the fuel pump puts enough fuel into the bowl to get it running. Once running it works fine. Some one suggested an electric fuel pump. I found one that puts out 2 to 3.5 PSI. Will this work.??
thanks in advance..

yes, but it will be too much fuel and overflow the carb bowl, you'll need a "Y" between the pump and the carb with a line returning to the fuel tank, how about using one of those primer bulbs that a outboard motor uses?

Thanks so much for your reply... I never thought of that.. It just might do the trick.. Would I pump it the same as on a boat till the bulb gets hard, or is there a danger of overflowing the carb?.. & so much cheaper. The electric pump is around $50..

I wouldn't waste my money on the electric fuel pump. Too much trouble and it will likely flood the carb. I agree with using a primer off a boat. Good idea!

Thanks, Just have the 2 questions, Do I prime it till the bulb gets hard ? the same as in a boat?
Should I install it ahead of the fuel pump as in a boat or after the fuel pump?
