Re: seat belt ?
It would be more dangerous to have belts if you do not have a roll cage. Usually that is how they figure it. The mount has to be solid you might have to fabricate them.

Re: seat belt ?
I had to do the same thing to mine when i got the city permit for it. I just bolted them to the steel post that hold the seat back ant top up. Not sure if this is the "safest" possible mounting points but it passed the city inspection.

Re: seat belt ?
They don't want you falling out on the road because it has no doors, however if you roll it you will be forced under it with belts on and no roll cage. What is next belts on motorcycles and bikes?

Re: seat belt ?
I think that almost all your convertibles come with some kind of a roll bar or a support of some kind in them now.

Re: seat belt ?
Lol, all you would hear is screaming.
Hey I didn't make the rules, but that is what they are saying here for UTVs and carts. They are still working on cart legality, some counties allow them and some do not so far it depends on what the locals want. Some are only allowed on secondary and some only certain speeds. So they are saying belts and cage, or you have to wear a helmet like a bike and no belt or cage. |
