Re: Clutch seal
I use a socket that is just smaller diameter (usually 1/2 drive socket). Sometimes easier to use an extension in the socket to help get it straighter. You can make sure the hole is not sharp on the edge most have a tiny taper on the edge, so you could sand it a little or something if needed but you would have to clean the mess out. Lot of times I use silicone sealer on them, its slippery and glues/seals the seal in but still can be removed later. But you have to let it dry to be safe, before you use it. I only wet the outside with a thin film you don't want a glob in the bearing or something.
If you can't use a socket some other items are a large crescent wrench or large open end wrench. You can tap them by hand put one side in a little and tap the other side. Be patient it might pop out 10 times before you get it started, then tap the high side in. |
