crankshaft
Hi got a question I put new belts on my 2000 g16 I was idleing it and I noticed the crankshaft going side to side very little was wondering if this is normal to have some play.

If you can see it moving that much while it's running, I'd say it would have to be out of spec. A crankshaft should not move, at least not enough that you can see it while it's running. They make special gauges to detect that kind of movement because it's difficult to see.
Might pay to have someone actually measure the play in the crank since that is what makes the cart go. You might try to find someone local that works on carts and ask what they charge. The other option is to consult the service manual and see what the specs are and how to check for play in the crank. |
