Factory muffler
I have a 2001 G-20 with the 295 4 stroke in it, my question is has anyone had any luck taking one apart to make it a little more free flowing without it being real loud. With a K&N and different jets in the carb I really think this stock exhaust is holding my cart back in performance.
Plow Mans have them along with after market ones but I just don't have 150.00/250.00 extra cash laying around. Cutting and welding is not a problem but if I screw it up to much a used one goes for over a hundred bucks. If I just new what to do when I get it apart. Thanks LURCH!!!!!! |

Re: Factory muffler
A guy on here cut a yamaha apart where it was welded, then enlarged all the holes in there. It was louder but not terrible. You can use a muffler from a larger engine, like a 20hp. You can use generator mufflers of larger hp to keep it quiet. You could put two stock mufflers on. Just ideas.
