First off Welcome aboard SledDogg

First thing you have to figure out , is if you are installing the correct spark plug.
Do you smell gas while running? Is you airbox sealed ?

I run a slightly hotter plug in my G8, but the carb is also rejetted.

I run the newer ngk in my G9, the one for newer models. The dealer told me it was better, and it does not foul like the other one. If the plug is black that is too rich, check the airbox is it plugged up? Check the oil is it full of gas?
