Rebuilt '81 G1
Here is my G1 completely rebuilt over the winter. Motor overhaul with kit, body, paint and upholstery. Made the rockers and bumpers from aluminum. Will use it at the lake. I used much info from this site to complete the project.

Re: Rebuilt '81 G1
Painted on "white walls". I use SEM color coat flexible coating aerosols. #15103 Super White. Make sure to clean tire very well with a degreaser/white wall cleaner and even lacquer thinner. Mask off and two to three coats. I've used it on car tires and other tires for years. It will crack on radials, but never comes off.

That is a great looking cart, the paint looks like glass. Much better than my spray and pray jobs.

Re: Rebuilt '81 G1
Jake, what is the roof clearance on that top from the base of the seat to the inside of the roof. Looks really tall!

Re: Rebuilt '81 G1
Top surface of seat cushion to bottom edge of canopy measures 38". I think the absence of front uprights might give the look of being taller, but I have no idea as it's my first cart.
