1996 G14 yamaha gas
I just got this cart, it sat in a garage for a while, but ran before it was left sitting. I just bought a new battery today, but the cart still acts like its getting absolutly no juice. are there any fuses or relays? i turn the key, i step on the gas, and nothing even tried to happen

There is a main 10amp fuse that will completely shut down the cart if blown. Check it, it should be located around the drivers side rear fender area. These will almost always blow if there are lights or anything grounded to the frame. Ground all accessories to the neg post of the battery.

Re: 1996 G14 yamaha gas
man i love these forums. thanks alot Spriddle! Went out and found a fuse, this fuse was under the seat, towards the center front, looked like it went to a salaniod type thing, then all that went to the motor
next problem is the fuel in the cart, i have to amagine like all gas motors, old fuel is not good, and i need to pump out the old fuel and put in fresh fuel |

Check the fuel filter on this cart. Can't remember but it may be like a G2/G9 which is in the bottom of the tank. If it does have this type, I suggest gutting it (busting out all the old filter, etc... and reinstalling the cap part) and installing an inline fuel filter you can easily change.

Re: 1996 G14 yamaha gas
There is no oil filter. The oil system on these carts operate on a splash system which brings up an important topic. Don't use any oil additives that are thick and will keep the oil from splashing on its internal parts.
For the fuel filter, I use an inline fuel filter from an auto parts store. One like goes on an Ezgo or CC: inline paper type filter with plastic shell. |

I too have a g14. I STRONGLY advise you to adjust the valves. Very simple and makes a huge difference.
