90' g2 only runs when chocked

This is about to drive me to drinkin. It runs like a bat out of hell when the choke is fully engaged but no choke and it misses and loses power on any incline. I replaced the carb spacer(cracked) and cleaned the jets. I did notice the air filter box doesnt seal well. Does that have to be almost air tight? There's quite a bit of carbon due to the guy always running with the choke on. Somebody save me please.

Go thru the carb with a set of torch-tip cleaners and carb-cleaner,then blow out with compressed-air,seal the air-box,and change the spark-plug.Its' probably loaded-up by now if you've been running choked.Hope this helps.

The air box needs to be properly sealed. This is very important to make it run properly. Make sure the seal on the lid is intact and all the rubber hooks are good. If the air box is warped and the lid won't stay sealed with the hooks use zip ties.

Well after tinkering with it all week and then making a post it finally came to me. The flippin air box wasn't sealed well at all. After cleaning out the carb, adjusting the valves and every other thing you could imagine it was the damned air filter box! This is my first attempt at fixing a golf cart and the guys helping me said the air box didn't need to be sealed. I see chompy nailed it with his post. Good call sir!
