Default GI Battery

The battery in my G1 is dead.

The G1 manual list a the proper Battery as a 12V-50AH. Went to NAPA store to get a battery and they said the NAPA catalog doesn't list batteries any more by amp hours.

The battery currently in the cart is an NAPA 8240

Is there any reason I can't use a NAPA 8229?

I would use the 8240 myself, this battery has much more reserve capacity and 250 more cold cranking amps. It will probably last a very long time in your cart and degrade less over long storage. In addition you won't have to change your cable ends .

A replacement 8490 is $90 and the 8229 is on sale for $27.

Thinking about selling the cart since I getting ready to head over seas for a year and replace it when I get back with a Ranger or Mule.
