G9 Backfire
Hi All,
I will try to explain this as best I can. I have a G9 that runs great. My problem is if I release the gas peddle and then press it again I get a backfire. It seems to happen in the carb sometimes and from the exhaust sometimes. I have done a lot of looking around here and have found some great information. I have tried several things to correct this but I think I found the problem. It looks like the throttle is not closing all the way when I release the gas peddle. I noticed on the small shaft of the throttle there looks to be a spring that is not doing it's job. It looks like maybe the end broke off. I could also be completely wrong about this. Can anyone tell me if there is a spring on the shaft that helps to close the throttle. If so, how can I replace it. It looks like the top of the throttle is stamped on and can't be removed. I hope I am making sense of this. Any help would be great. I will try to post a picture of the carb but I will not be up to the campground until Friday night. Thanks MikeyDee. |
