If it fits, cap it off and go on your merry way. I own 2 ea G1's and love them. Gave up on oil pump and just mix my gas. Same mixture as the boat, so I buy a 55 gal drum full, pour in the oil, and I'm ready for the summer.

What is that bottle for? I just put new motor in an it didn't have one on it? Should I put one on?

The orginal bottles were for the g1 models that did not have a reed valve assembly. Purpose was the same as on 2 cycle racing bikes. It was a place to store vacuum energy so as to improve throttle response. Side-draft carbs on old austin healeys, porshe, etc had them. When windshield wipers ran of of the engine vacuum (pre 1957) they used a bottle so that the wipers would not stall during acceleration and that there was sufficient vacuum to accelerate smoothly. Now cars have a computer controlled EGR valve that can cause acceleration problems if defective. Just keep the air filter clean and you will have no problems.
