I put the kit on our G2 tonight and am not sure if its right. I lost alot of topend speed and the engine seems to rev alot more. It is also alot louder, not the quite one bfore the spring. I don't guess it will hurt the engine to rev more. I still have the gov. just put speed spring on. Would it be better to get the machined sleeve? Can I machine the sleeve down I have access to a lathe?

maching the sleave only affects the gearing - how fast the belt goes up and down.
best way to think about the torque spring is to think of it holding your cart in a lower gear longer. also if your ramp buttons are worn out it will prevent the clutch from shifting out of lower gear also |

What are the ramp buttons , the white plastic pieces on the helix? How do you replace them?

Yep, those are the ramp shoes, you should have a through hole and be able to tap them out from the back side using a drift or a punch.
