![]() I am new to carts and engine repair as a whole. My G2 engine was running but was not producing enough power to move. I took my carb apart and cleaned it,(rebuilt?), replaced fuel and air filters, and spark plug. In a nut shell, I did a tune up. When I finished up it ran again so I took it around the neighborhood a few times. It ran fine at first and then it started to seem that it was losing power. Just before getting into the garage it was back to not moving. I pushed it into the garage and adjusted the gas air mixture needle and it started to rev up again. So my question is, what do I need to look at fixing if this is going to be a continuing problem? Thanks for any help.

![]() One problem that occurs with alot of Yamaha carts is the air box will not get a air tight seal. This could cause your symptoms. I'm no expert ![]() ![]()

![]() Dont think there is a online repair manual. Air box located on left side of motor in front of the clutch. Has the air filter in it. G-2-9 air box have a history of warping and sucking air. If it gets to much air will not run well. Does the cart run better when choke is pulled?

![]() I removed the air box and just left the filter attached then drilled the main jet .043 and attached the foot feed directly to the carb eliminating the governor.I t works great. I also have a G2/G9 service manual and other info on CD for $5.00 cash or $5.50 Paypal
